TUFF
DESCRIPTION

Tuff is a type of rock consisting of consolidated volcanic ash ejected from vents during a volcanic eruption. Note that tuff is a type of rock entirely different from tuffa.

What colors does tuff come in?
Due to its volcanic nature tuff is found in an amazing variety of colors. It comes in over 30 colors and hues from pink, yellowish, orange, to red, and purple and black. Tuff from our quarry in Djadjur comes in black, red, and tobacco colors.

Where would I use tuff?
Due to its excellent sound and heat insulating capabilities tuff is often used as a building stone. Interior and/or exterior tuff wall cladding can vastly improve the sound/heat insulation of a building. Because tuff comes in so many beautiful colors it can also be used as an interior or exterior decorative element.
